BTE Work Simulator
To help our patients recover from work-related and upper extremity injuries, Covenant Rehab Centers uses the BTE Simulator II. This innovative system replicates hundreds of real-world work tasks, helping patients to regain strength, endurance and flexibility.
How Does It Work?
The BTE Simulator consists of an exercise machine equipped with a wide variety of interchangeable attachments, a computerized console that logs results in real time, and a software system that tracks the patient’s progress, customizes exercise programs and continually evaluates a person’s readiness to return to work.
What Are the Benefits?
Because the testing done with the BTE Simulator is much more precise than other methods, therapists can continually measure a patient’s progress and adjust the therapy program accordingly. This results in a more efficient rehabilitation process and can help patients recover faster.
Who Can Benefit?
While most often used to assist patients recovering from work-related injuries and upper-extremity surgery, the BTE Simulator can be used in a variety of therapeutic situations, including:
- Cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation
- Chronic pain rehabilitation
- Neuromuscular rehabilitation
- Orthopedic evaluation and rehabilitation
- Work conditioning/hardening
