Covenant School of Nursing Statistics

Covenant School of Nursing Program Graduation Rates

Covenant School of Nursing determines its graduation rate by the number of students who complete the educational program in one and one-half times the length of the program (6 semesters). This parameter is consistent with the Integrated Post Secondary Education Data System (IPEDS) of the National Center for Education Statistics measurement.

National Average NCLEX-RN Pass Rates

The NCLEX-RN a comprehensive integrated examination, developed and administered by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing, is designed to test basic competency for nursing practice. The exam is administered by the individual boards of nursing that are members of the National Council of State Boards of Nursing and can be offered to candidates for licensure as registered nurses or as practical/vocational nurses. The information in the Chart below is the average first time pass rate on the NCLEX-RN exam for different program types in the United States.

Career Placement Statistics

Many graduates of Covenant School of Nursing are subsequently employed by Covenant Health. Regardless of employment location, graduates and their employers are surveyed one year later to evaluate their performance in the work place. These surveys consistently reveal a high degree of satisfaction with our graduates' performance capabilities.

Wherever our graduates go, they take with them a higher standard for patient care and a mission for making every patient encounter sacred. They are equipped to 'Follow their Calling'.

The Covenant School of Nursing works hard to help our graduates find rewarding career positions. Our nurses find work in a variety of fields—often within Covenant Health.

The outlook has never been brighter for nursing professionals. In fact, the demand for registered nurses is projected to result in the creation of the second-largest number of jobs among all occupations!

Employment data collected upon graduation and not all students choose to gain employment immediately upon graduation.

The pay schedule for nurses varies according to region, but nationwide, the median annual income for registered nurses in 2004 was $52,330, with salaries ranging from $37,000 to $75,000.

Three out of five nurses work in hospitals, although many others also work in physician offices, nursing care facilities, home health care services, employment services, government agencies and outpatient care centers. Students even attracted to a career as an educator, will find a warm ‘Welcome’. Most facilities require a BSN at least, and many require a Master’s, so explore your options!

Campus Security

The Campus Safety and Security Data Analysis Cutting Tool is brought to you by the Office of Postsecondary Education of the U.S. Department of Education. This analysis cutting tool was designed to provide rapid customized reports for public inquiries relating to campus crime and fire data. The data are drawn from the OPE Campus Safety and Security Statistics website database to which crime statistics and fire statistics (as of the 2010 data collection) are submitted annually, via a web-based data collection, by all postsecondary institutions that receive Title IV funding (i.e., those that participate in federal student aid programs). This data collection is required by the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Higher Education Opportunity Act. This report will provide you with data for one campus that you select. You can view the campus’s last three years of safety-and-security-related statistical data here, along with general information about the campus.
