There are a number of developments this week that I wanted to get out before the usual Thursday email.
Additional Training Opportunities
You have probably noticed that there were additional support personnel at CH prior to the holidays. They are returning today and will remain in the Texas Region until January 24. There have been a number of recent additions/enhancements to the MEDITECH EHR over the past few weeks and there are several more to follow in the near future.
The details of many of these enhancements have been outlined in my recent emails, including "Continue from Ambulatory"/Med Rec, Incomplete Record Alerts (ICR) on the Physician Desktop, Attestation of progress notes, Copy to ("CC") field, Tapering Medication Dosing and eChallenge automated password resets. These are all available at CovenantEHR.org.
Dragon has been stabilized and has been successfully piloted in the Adult and Children's ED. Dragon training will once again be available starting today. This will be about a one hour one-on-one session with one of our Regional Physician Liaisons (PLS) or the additional support staff on site. These sessions can be scheduled by calling
Favorites for order sets will be available starting January 13. The PLs and support staff will be able to help you learn how to use this new feature starting on January 13.
I will be sending a follow-up email later this week or early next week with more details about Favorites and the other enhancements that will be released next week.
As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to call me at 725-0265.
