(LUBBOCK) - The Texas Dental Association recently approved a $2,000 grant to the Covenant Health Denture Program for patients in need of financial assistance.
The grant funding will be used to pay for full or partial dentures for patients who have no dental insurance through the Covenant Community Health Outreach Denture Program. The funding will also cover the cost of physician and laboratory fees for patients.
The Denture Program is a part of the Covenant Community Outreach Adult Dental Program. This program provides a “dental home” for adults along with preventative dental treatment. In 2009, a total of 1,756 patients were served through the Adult Dental Program. This project will allow Covenant Health to impact two focus areas, “service” and “community” by delivering the best care for patients and actively improving health in West Texas communities.
