WHO: Covenant Health will host a free educational seminar focused on asthma health.
WHAT: Asthma is a chronic lung disease that affects more than 22 million Americans according to the American Academy of Allergy and Asthma and Immunology (AAAAI). Asthma is the most common chronic childhood disease, affecting nearly five million children in the United States according to the AAAAI.
At the seminar, Dr. Goutam P. Shome, an allergy, asthma and immunology specialist at Covenant Southwest Medical Park, will discuss how to live well with asthma and the treatment options available for patients. He is board certified with the American Board of Asthma, Allergy and Immunology. His clinical expertise is in hay fever, sinus problems, immune problems, angioedema/anaphylaxis, food allergy, drug allergy and asthma.
