(LUBBOCK) – Learn how to “Make Sense of Memory Loss” at the Covenant Health Alzheimer’s Education Summit on Saturday, April 9 from 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. at the Knipling Education Conference Center, located on the sixth floor of the West parking garage on 21st Street and Louisville Avenue.
Keynote speaker for the summit is Sid E. O’Bryant, Ph.D. O’Bryant has expertise in biomarkers of Alzheimer’s disease and is the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center principal investigator and steering committee representative for the Texas Alzheimer’s Research and Care Consortium.
The education summit will consist of four caregiver sessions covering caregiver stress, finding the right fit, legal matters, and communicating in a new way.
Respite care is available upon request for loved ones of caregivers attending the summit through partnership with La Paloma. Please request upon seat reservation.
This event, hosted by Covenant Health and the Lubbock Alzheimer’s Association, is free to caregivers and those seeking continuing education certifications. Covenant urges community members to come learn more about understanding Alzheimer’s and dementia.
