Becker's Hospital Review has published the 2015 edition of its 150 great places to work in healthcare
in the United States, which includes Covenant Health in Lubbock.
“We are blessed to have great people who carry out our healing mission
in so many different ways; every person has a unique contribution, and
they are the reasons we work so hard to offer a great workplace with strong
benefits, wellness programs, convenience services and workplace fun events,”
said Chris Shaver, vice president of Human Resources and Patient Experience
at Covenant Health.
For the second year in a row, the list features both healthcare providers
as well as other types of healthcare-specific companies, such as consulting
firms, health IT vendors, medical societies and more. A version of this
list has been published every year since 2011.
The organizations featured on the list were selected by the
Becker's Hospital Review editorial team based on workforce-centric awards received, benefits offerings,
wellness initiatives, and efforts to improve professional development,
diversity and inclusion, work-life balance and a sense of community and
unity among employees. Nominations were also considered.
Covenant Health is included on the list with such prestigious institutions
as Johns Hopkins Medicine (Baltimore), Mayo Clinic (Rochester, Minn.),
MD Anderson Cancer Center (Houston), and St. Jude Children's Research
Hospital (Memphis, Tenn.).
