Covenant Children’s Hospital Development Board

The dedicated individuals who serve the Covenant Children’s Hospital Development Board take on many different roles. But whether they are committee members, volunteers or financial supporters, each person makes a difference in the lives of our tiniest patients.

Help us in providing the absolute best care possible for children in the region. Make a financial donation to a committee. Volunteer. Shop for items on our Covenant Children’s Hospital wish lists.

Here are just a few examples of the equipment purchases and programs Covenant Children’s Hospital Development Board has helped make possible:

• Equipment for the Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU)—A transilluminator helps nurses find tiny veins in little patients, and an exam light brightens the room so doctors can perform operation procedures.

• Special furniture—Parents sit in new tall chairs that allow them to see their babies in elevated cribs. Parents also rock their babies in new gliders.

• Spiritual needs— Each patient room is decorated with inspiring artwork thanks to donations of nearly 60 pieces created by local Christian high school and elementary school students. Parents who have lost a child also have a special area to talk with a chaplain, and receive a small kit of items including a candle.

• Holiday committee—This group makes the holidays special for patients by creating hand-made decorations. An annual holiday card fundraiser, where more than 2,500 cards are sold, is also part of our tradition.

• Emergency care—Lightweight baby pods help AeroCare staff rush infants to the hospital via helicopter and portable ventilators.
