Documentation Based Care (DBC) Active Spine Care Program

For patients recovering from spine injuries or suffering from chronic back pain, the Documentation Based Care (DBC) Active Spine Care Program at Covenant Rehab Centers can provide dramatic results. In fact, more than 83 percent of our patients experience a reduction or even elimination of their back pain.
As the first provider of DBC care in our region, we’re particularly proud that our results consistently exceed national and international averages.
How does it work?
Physical therapists certified as Active Spine Care Specialists help patients through the DBC program. Before treatment begins, you will take part in a three-step process:
- Your therapist performs an in-depth evaluation of your medical history, pain profile, psychosocial profile, musculoskeletal condition and spinal range of motion.
- You’re taken through a series of exercises to test spinal endurance and strength.
- You and your therapist develop a specialized treatment program.
At this point, you’ll begin using DBC equipment to begin the therapeutic process. Periodically, your therapist will evaluate your progress using DBC software, giving you results you can see as well as feel.
What are the benefits?
DBC equipment is specially designed to trigger the body’s healing mechanisms, improving coordination and control of the spine and strengthening spinal structures.
