Before you can benefit from the advanced treatment we provide, you have to get a proper diagnosis. That’s why the Covenant Neuroscience Institute’s registered technologists work closely with staff neurologists to provide comprehensive evaluations of neurological disorders.

Tests used include:

• Electroencephalogram (EEG)—Diagnoses a number of disorders, including strokes, tumors, brain injuries and seizure disorders by recording the electrical activity of the brain.
• Nerve Conduction Velocity (NCV) and Electromyography (EMG)—Tests for neuromuscular conditions, such as Lou Gehrig’s disease, Guillain-Barre syndrome and carpal tunnel syndrome, using electrodes and needle electrodes.
• Evoked Potentials (SSEP, BEAR and VER)—Identifies a number of neurological problems by measuring the brain’s response to signals sent by nerves.
• Intra-Operative Monitoring—Helps neurosurgeons safeguard the nervous system during surgery by monitoring neuro-electric activity in the region.
