Community Health

Access to health care is one of the most urgent issues facing the communities Covenant Health serves. That's why each year we allocate 10 percent of our net bottom line to community outreach programs that improve health services for those who are underprivileged, uninsured or geographically isolated.

To give our efforts greater impact, we formed the Covenant Community Health Screening Initiative. This group works to identify underserved communities and organize comprehensive screening clinics that provide education, early detection and ensure follow-up care where necessary.

Based on demographic health data from the communities we serve, we focus on the following areas:

• Cancer education, prevention and early detection
• Cardiovascular wellness
• Diabetes education, prevention and early detection
• Improving health care access
• Teen sexual behavior issues, especially STDs and pregnancies
