LUBBOCK — Covenant Health System is hosting a free community health screening from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 29 at The Bridge of Lubbock located at 1301 Redbud Avenue. Those who attend will be able to take part in a variety of screenings that help ensure good health.
General health screenings, such as skin cancer screenings and dental/oral health screenings will be available. In addition, both men’s and women’s health screenings will be offered. Men’s health screenings include digital rectal exams/PSA’s and testicular exams. Health screenings offered to women are pap smears/HPV testing and clinical breast exams.
In addition to these, the screening will also include: complete metabolic panel, a blood pressure test, a bone density heel scan, mental health testing, a STD testing voucher, lipid profile, height/weight & BMI, fecal occult home test kits and health education materials. Also, drug therapy consultation will be offered in the areas of drug interaction, herbal products and medication pricing.
