Dr. Travis Carroll joined the medical staff of Covenant Women’s and
Children’s hospital in 2010 as a neonatologist. He brings a wealth of
knowledge from his experience in neonatal/perinatal medicine from the
University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was a member of the Critical
Care Committee at the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga. His focus is
on providing high quality compassionate care for babies and their families.
He received his doctorate of medicine from St. George’s University SOM
in Grenada, West Indies while being a member of Iota Epsilon Alpha, The
International Medical School Honors Society. He completed his pediatric
internship in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Tennessee
in Chattanooga. He did his fellowship in neonatal/perinatal medicine at the
University of Utah where he was awarded the Children’s Health Research
Center Scholar’s Award and the Western Society for Pediatric Research Travel
Award. He was a two time recipient of the American Federation for Medical
Research Scholarship.
Dr. Carroll is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and he is
board eligible for neonatal/perinatal medicine. He has his medical license
for the state of Texas. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics,
Texas Medical Association, and the American Federation for Medical Research.
He is published in the area of congenital surfactant deficiency and his research
focus is the molecular mechanisms of retinoic acid in lung development.
