Our region's most highly specialized team
Our rehabilitation expertise sets the standard in our region, which is evident in the number of specialists who hold the highest certifications in their fields.
Education and support
We offer a wide range of classes and encourage patients and their families to participate in local support groups.
Acute care rehabilitation
Our acute care rehabilitation program provides therapy for patients recovering from a wide range of conditions, including illness, injury and surgical procedures. Our team of acute care specialists and support staff focuses on helping patients become as independent as possible while their medical conditions require them to stay in an acute care hospital setting.
Hip and knee replacement patients can take part in a special program called “Joint Ranch.” Similar to an athletic training camp, patients progress through the joint replacement experience in a group setting—from pre-operative educational sessions to post-operative rehab.
Inpatient rehabilitation services
Our inpatient rehabilitation program is designed for patients who require therapies for mobility, cognitive skills, communication skills, safety and self-care. Individuals admitted to inpatient rehabilitation must be medically stable and able to participate in an intensive rehabilitation program.
Outpatient rehabilitation services
We offer an integrated, comprehensive rehabilitation program designed to help patients attain their maximum level of independence following a debilitating stroke, illness or injury. Our fully accredited program features outpatient physical, occupational and speech-language therapies, as well as certified athletic trainers and strength and conditioning specialists.
Our sports rehab program focuses on an earlier return to play through “unloading” and teamwork strategies with doctors and/or school trainers. The goal-oriented, individualized rehabilitation is designed to accelerate a return to competition.
Pediatric rehabilitation services
Our comprehensive pediatric rehabilitation programs are designed to help children realize their fullest developmental potential. Our specialized staff provides a full continuum of inpatient and outpatient therapies, along with guidance and support for the children's families. Areas of concentration include:
- Motor skills
- Self care
- Sensory integration
- Speech and language skills
Neurological rehabilitation services
We lead our region in offering advanced therapies in neurological rehabilitation. For patients recovering from a stroke, brain or spinal cord injury or other neurological condition, we emphasize fostering personal independence in a wide range of daily tasks and self-care. Cognitive retraining and expressive and receptive language skills training help maximize communication abilities, while muscle stimulation techniques improve mobility and motor skills.
Occupational health and rehabilitation services
Our comprehensive occupational health program includes work hardening and conditioning and functional capacity evaluations. Other program components include:
- Ergonomic and job-site assessments
- Back safety and ergonomic classes
- Pre-employment and post-offer screens
- Industrial consultations
