Community Benefits

Part of our mission at Covenant Health System is to ensure that everyone in our community has access to quality health care. To make this happen, we are committed to both monetary and service-related donations.

For the Fiscal Year 2007, Covenant Health System (including Plainview and Levelland) donated a total of $76,349,000 in community benefits. Of that dollar amount, the entities in Lubbock donated $ 72,283,000 in community benefits. Covenant Health System (including Plainview and Levelland) gave a total of $27,507,000 in traditional charity care. The entities in Lubbock gave an additional $30,868,000 in health care services at a reduced charge to the patients (unpaid costs of state and local programs). From the numerous major community benefit activities provided by Covenant for calendar year 2007, one major highlight was our employees’ contributions to $442,871.
