Accreditation
Covenant Health System works hard to provide our community with the best care available—the best not just in our region, but anywhere in the country. Because of this commitment, we have been honored with numerous awards and accreditations across virtually every service area.
In fact, National Research Corporation (NRC) named Covenant Medical Center as one of the top hospitals in the country in 2005 and 2006—the only hospital in West Texas to receive the prestigious NRC Consumer Choice Award. This award recognizes hospitals with the highest quality and image in more than 180 U.S. markets. Results are based on a survey of more than 400,000 consumers in categories that include Best Nurse, Best Doctor, Best Reputation and Best Overall Image.
We also received the 2006 Best Hospital award from The Lubbock Avalanche-Journal. Below, you’ll find our other accreditations broken down by service line. Check back often to keep up-to-date with our latest honors.

Key elements of a Level II Trauma Center include 24-hour immediate coverage by general surgeons as well as coverage by the specialties of orthopedic surgery, neurosurgery, anesthesiology, emergency medicine, radiology and critical care.
