Covenant Heart & Vascular Institute Development Board
The Covenant Heart & Vascular Institute Development Board gathers vital funding for our life-saving cardiac programs. Members also act as dedicated educators and advocates.
Our volunteers bring the life-saving work of the Covenant Heart & Vascular Institute to the community in a variety of ways:
Educational endeavors—Our members teach the community about heart disease prevention and all of the services, initiatives and programs Covenant Heart & Vascular Institute has to offer. Hispanic Heart Health Fair, in which we partner with the American Heart Association and United Supermarkets, is one of our most successful screening opportunities.
Advocacy—Board members encourage our local community leaders to volunteer with the board and support the Covenant Heart & Vascular Institute.
Quality patient care—The board develops programs like the cardiac patient support group, which offers advice and encouragement to patients and family members prior to and after surgery.
Local support—Impact Covenant, The Covenant Heart & Vascular Institute fundraising club, offers individuals and area businesses the chance to support Covenant Health System and its programs.
Fundraising—Members work hard to secure funding for critical new programs, such as the Transplant and L-VAD procedure for surgically implanting blood-pumping devices.
