What is the Covenant Foundation?

The Covenant Foundation is a branch of Covenant Health System that raises funds for Covenant programs and capital projects. The foundation’s goals are to increase awareness and education, raise funding, and promote the mission of Covenant Health System within the community.

A not-for-profit organization is qualified by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) as a tax-exempt organization. The IRS has approved the Covenant Foundation’s 501(c) (3) status and acknowledged our not-for-profit status.

The Covenant Foundation uses many venues for raising monies to be distributed throughout Covenant Health System for programs or projects, including:

Special Events: The Covenant Foundation hosts four annual events benefiting the Covenant Heart & Vascular Institute, Joe Arrington Cancer Research and Treatment Center (JACC), and the Covenant Children’s Hospital.

Covenant Cares – Employee Giving Campaign: The Covenant Foundation and other Covenant Health System employees lead the way for annual giving, year after year, with this incredible employee campaign. In 2005, employees pledged to make contributions totaling more than $375,000.00 for the 2006 calendar year!

Grants: The Covenant Foundation has a grantwriter who submits proposals for local, state and national grants. Every year, our grants account for more than half of the monies brought in through the Covenant Foundation.

Impact Covenant – Annual Giving Campaign: The Impact Covenant Campaign allows our donors to make a difference every day in the lives of the patients and families seen at Covenant Health System.

We have many ways that interested community members can get involved through the Covenant Foundation. You can be a volunteer for one of our development boards, help with special events, or make a donation.
