About Us

Covenant School of Nursing—formerly Methodist Hospital School of Nursing—is located in Lubbock, Texas. Founded in 1918, Covenant School of Nursing is the oldest nursing school in the South Plains and has graduated more than 3,700 nurses.  In January 2008, we proudly celebrated our 90th year of tradition, dedication and excellence in the world of nursing.

We are committed to producing highly skilled nurses who share our passion and commitment to patients and the nursing profession.   Throughout our full-time, 76-week accredited diploma program, students receive both classroom training and faculty guided hands-on experiences in both lab and clinical settings. Our supportive learning environment ensures that every student receives the guidance and encouragement he or she needs to succeed as a registered nurse.

The Covenant Medical Library also provides support to the CSON students while in school and after (if they become Covenant employees).  The Medical Librarian provides passwords and training on searching the nursing literature databases.  There is no charge to Covenant students and employees for Library services.
