Heart failure is one of the leading causes of death in the United States and is the most frequent cause of hospitalization for people over the age of 65. The Heart Failure Center at the Covenant Heart & Vascular Institute is dedicated to helping patients deal with this complex condition. It offers comprehensive management for patients with:
- Congestive heart failure
- Cardiomyopathy
- Chronic ischemic heart disease
- Adult congenital heart disease
The Heart Failure Center offers our region the most advanced treatments and therapies. In addition, a multidisciplinary team of nurses, dietitians, rehabilitation therapists, social workers and chaplains provides patients, and their families, with education and emotional support. Admission to the center requires referral by an internist, primary care physician or cardiologist.
