Assistance for Employees

For employees facing difficult situations, Covenant Health System offers both counseling and practical assistance with the necessities of daily life.

Covenant Assistance Program

We understand that issues in your personal life can make it difficult to maintain a high level of professionalism in the workplace. If you or your dependents are experiencing personal problems, we invite you to contact the Covenant Assistance Program for confidential counseling. In addition, employees may be referred to Covenant Assistance Program counselors by their immediate supervisors, managers or directors. Counseling services include:

  • Stress in the home or workplace
  • Anxiety and depression
  • Marital, divorce or family problems
  • Personal and/or family concerns
  • Child/elder care problems
  • Parenting (children/school concerns)
  • Grief and loss
  • Gambling
  • Drug abuse
  • Alcohol abuse
  • Eating disorders

All information will be held as confidential to the extent reasonable and practical under the circumstances. The employee’s supervisor, manager or director will be informed only of employees’ attendance, level of participation and completion of counseling when it is a mandatory referral. Covenant Compassion

Covenant Compassion is there to fill the gap when our employees find themselves in an emergency situation and can’t get public assistance. Covenant Compassion works with South Plains Food Bank to ensure our employees never have to face a desperate situation alone.

Aid can take the form of a voucher from South Plains Food Bank, a loan that is repaid through employee payroll deductions or a non-repayable grant. There is always a staff member on call for Covenant Compassion.
