Renowned Heart Surgeon to Speak at 5th Annual DeBakey Symposium

LUBBOCK - Covenant Health System is pleased welcome internationally renowned heart surgeon Edward B. Diethrich, M.D., to present "The Influence of the DeBakey Era on the Future of Cardiac Care" at the fifth annual Covenant Heart Institute Michael E. DeBakey Distinguished Lectureship Series March 28, 11:45 a.m., at the Knipling Education Conference Center, 21st St. and Louisville Ave., sixth floor, west parking garage.

With more than 40 years of experience, Dr. Diethrich is regarded as one of the pioneers in non-invasive heart disease diagnosis and innovative cardiovascular and endovascular treatments. Dr. Diethrich is the founder and medical director of the Arizona Heart Institute, and is also the medical director and chief of cardiovascular surgery for the Arizona Heart Hospital where he performs state-of-the-art endovascular procedures using the latest devices, many of which he helped design and test in clinical trials. He is board certified in general, thoracic and cardiovascular surgery and has authored several books and scientific articles.
