School of Surgical Technology is Now Accredited

Covenant School of Surgical Technology is pleased to announce that we have been awarded accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation for Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) in cooperation with the Accreditation Review Committee in Surgical Technology (ARC-ST). The accreditation involved a thorough review of the program's resources including faculty, student/faculty ratio, physical resources, curriculum, and student evaluation methods. The initial accreditation site visit took place in July, and notification was placed on the CAAHEP website of our status as a newly accredited school on November 17th.

Graduates are now eligible to sit for the National Certifying Exam administered by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting, thus committing to the school's mission of graduating students who are highly skilled, well-educated, and competent Certified Surgical Technologists who exemplify the values of Covenant Health System.
