Mayors’ Beans & Cornbread Luncheon
The 31st Annual Mayors' Beans & Cornbread Luncheon will be held
on March 6, 2020 at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center Banquet Hall from
11:00 am to 1:30 pm. This is Hospice of Lubbock's largest fundraiser
of the year. Mayors from all over the region host the event and many volunteers
in the Lubbock community join together - all for the mission of Hospice
Proceeds from this year's event will provide assistance to unfunded
and underfunded patients, as well as, programs such as grief conseling
for adults and children, a new music therapy program and our
We Honor Veterans program focusing on specific needs and recognition of our veteran patients.
All you can eat beans and cornbread will be prepared by River Smith’s
Chicken & Catfish and guests will be entertained by local musicians.
A "Tip Your Waiter Contest" will take place with local celebrities
and community leaders working hard to earn as much in tips as they can,
with all proceeds going to Hospice of Lubbock. The waiter with the most
tips wins a traveling "Golden Apron" trophy and of course, bragging rights.
