The people of our west Texas community take care of each other. When you
need quality health care close to home, Covenant Health is right here.
We are Keeping the Covenant by bringing a new modern Primary Care and
Urgent Care clinic to northwest Lubbock.
Six family practice physicians will staff the clinic Monday through Friday
and see patients by appointment in the Primary Care clinic. “The
design of the clinic creates a quiet, streamlined environment,”
says Kristen Kothmann, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Covenant
An adjacent Urgent Care unit will welcome walk-in patients and will be
staffed by two physicians. “Urgent Care will have extended hours
which means patients will be able to access care on evenings and weekends,”
says Kothmann. Both clinics will share full service lab and x-ray facilities
which means same-day results for patients.
As part of the Primary Care clinic, a Specialty clinic will feature a different
medical specialist on a weekly rotation, including cardiology and orthopedics.
Specialist will see patients referred by Urgent Care and Primary Care
physicians. Included in the Primary Care clinic is a group education room
which, Kothmann says, will be used for community wellness classes.
Situated on the northwest corner of Frankford Avenue and Erskine Street,
the new clinic will serve local families and those who live along the
Highway 84 corridor, including Shallowater, Littlefield, Anton, Sudan
and surrounding areas. “This is the area of Lubbock which has the
second highest growth rate,” says Kothmann. The seven acre site
is roughly five miles northwest of Covenant Medical Center.
Whether you need a check-up or your child has a sudden illness, Covenant
