Dr. Gabriel Axelrud is the Medical Director of Radiation Oncology at
Joe Arrington Cancer Research and Treatment Center. He graduated
with honors from The University of Texas at Austin and earned his
medical degree from Texas A&M College of Medicine. Dr. Axelrud
completed his residency training in radiation oncology at Texas A&M
College of Medicine — Baylor Scott & White Medical Center, where
he served as Chief Resident.
Dr. Axelrud’s areas of expertise include Gamma Knife and
LINAC-based Radiosurgery, SBRT, IMRT, IGRT, 3D-CRT, HDR
Brachytherapy, SAVI-based Accelerated Partial Breast Irradiation,
and Radiopharmaceutical Therapies (Xofigo, Lutathera, I-131).
Dr. Axelrud strives to provide high-quality, personalized cancer
care to his patients. At Joe Arrington Cancer Research and
Treatment Center, state-of-the-art technology enables him to
deliver sophisticated and up-to-date radiation therapy to maximize
treatment efficacy, reduce toxicities and improve the quality of
life of his patients.
