Kanu is an associate professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Pediatric Pulmonolgy at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center with clinical expertise in asthma, cystic fibrosis, chronic ventilator management and flexible pediatric bronchoscopy. A widely published and active researcher, instructor, and lecturer, Dr. Kanu served as an assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Pediatric Pulmonolgy SUNY Stony Brook Health and Sciences Center in Stony Brook, N.Y. before moving to Covenant. Dr. Kanu completed her residency in Pediatrics from Children’s Hospital of Buffalo, SUNY at Buffalo in Buffalo, N.Y. She then completed a fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston. She is board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics: General Pediatrics and Pediatric Pulmonology, and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and American Thoracic Society.
