He brings 27 years of experience in all phases of interventional clinical cardiac electro-physiology with him to Lubbock. Dr. Oakes is board certified in Adult Cardiac Electrophysiology. He has special interest and training in medical and ablative therapy for atrial and ventricular arrhythmias, pacemaker and IDC implantation and management, device therapy for congestive heart failure, arrhythmia’s in athletes, syncope and inherited arrhythmia syndromes. Dr. Oakes thoroughly enjoys building relationships with his patients and strives to make sure they feel involved in shared decision making in regards to their case. He has a great passion for the science and practice of electrophysiology. A career-long learner, he strives to maintain a high level of expertise in his field.
