Silwal is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Silwal studied medicine at the Universal College of Medical Sciences in Nepal and earned his M.B.B.S degree in March 2009. Silwal then started a year Medical and Surgery internship in April 2010, where he was the House Physician and Surgeon at the Universal College of Medical Sciences in Nepal. Until 2012, Silwal was a Medical Officer at Rapti Zonal Hospital in Napel and then moved to Dirghayu Polyclinic and Research Center also in Nepal for a year. In 2013, Silwal worked as Clinical Observer with Abdur Shakir, MD, at Sarah Bush Lincoln Hospital’s Cancer Center in Illinois. Silwal was also a Clinical Observer at Harvard Medical School’s Boston Children’s Hospital in Massachusetts as well at the Shock and Trauma Center at the University of Maryland.
