Emergency Care at Covenant Medical Center
When emergencies strike, turn to Covenant Medical Center's emergency
department. Our Level II Adult Trauma Center is open 24 hours a day, seven
days a week, to provide you with fast, expert care whenever you need it.
Our Children's Hospital is also home to the region's only
Children's Emergency Center. Equipped with the latest technology designed for children, this special
emergency center is always staffed by physicians and nurses trained in
the emergency care of acutely ill and injured children. Covenant Children's
is also the the West Texas/Panhandle Plains and Eastern New Mexico regions
pediatric trauma center.
The trauma centers at both Covenant Medical Center and Covenant Children's
Hospital were recently re-verified as Level II Trauma Centers by the Verification
Review Committee (VRC), an ad hoc committee of the Committee on Trauma
(COT) of the American College of Surgeons (ACS). This achievement recognizes
the trauma center's dedication to providing optimal care for injured patients.
