Once you find out you are pregnant, the first step is to find an obstetrician.
Good prenatal care is very important to assure that you are your baby
are healthy through pregnancy, delivery and beyond. When you find out
you are pregnant, you are welcome to go ahead and call an obstetrician
to schedule your first appointment. If you do not yet have an OB/GYN,

Finding a pediatrician for your baby prior to delivery is an important
decision. The Covenant Physician Finder Number will assist you in finding
a physician that practices within our hospital and accepts your insurance.

Covenant Prenatal Care Center
The Prenatal Care Center provides comprehensive prenatal care under certified
family Nurse Practitioner. She works with the premier obstetricians of
Covenant Medical Group to provide the best personalized care for you and
your baby, with decreased wait times. The Clinic is conveniently located
in Suite 303 in the Medical Office Building next to Covenant Women’s
and Children’s Hospital. The Prenatal Care Center accepts most commercial

Laborist Program
The safety of you and your baby is our utmost priority. Our Laborist Program
is made up of Board Certified, highly experienced, Obstetricians in our
community who have the patient’s birthing experience and safety
as their primary goal.
This program ensures a dedicated obstetrician is on site 24/7 to handle
deliveries or intervene with other emergencies. The Laborist works closely
with your private physician, our highly trained nursing team, and the
neonatologists at Covenant NICU. Should any problem arise with you or
your baby, our skilled team is ready to care for you.
Board-Certified Anesthesiologists are on-site 34/7 to meet your pain management needs.
Newborn Hospitalists
Newborn Hospitalists are physicians who specialize in newborn care in the
hospital setting and do not have private-practice patients. These physicians
are board-certified and have continued training in caring for the smallest
of hospitalized patients. The newborn hospitalist program is available
for pediatric services when needed. The benefits of Hospitalist care include:
enhanced communication and quality outcomes, more time for your Pediatrician
to spend with patients in the clinic setting, and more efficient hospital
services. If needed, our newborn hospitalists are available to assist
your pediatrician in the care of your baby during your hospital stay.
