FIRST and ONLY Obstetric Emergency Department
Our board-certified OB Hospitalists are in-house 24 hours a day, 365 days
a year to care for obstetric patients. This ensures that patients without
an identified OB, and patients whose private physician cannot immediately
respond, are quickly seen by a board-certified obstetrician. Quality and
safety are two of our primary goals, and our OB Hospitalists help us provide
the best possible care for the women of our community.
Through our Obstetric Hospitalist Program, we operate a three-bay, obstetric-specific
emergency department (OB-ED). A first of its kind for our region, and
unlike many competitor facilities, this department ensures our maternal
patients receive the highest level of care and that they are evaluated
immediately by a board-certified obstetrician.
Obstetric Hospitalists and the Obstetric Emergency Department Support your
Covenant wants mothers who are experiencing complications to be seen right
away by an in-house, board-certified OB/GYN, who can provide care until
the patient's own doctor can evaluate the mother and baby’s
condition. This is the best care for mother and baby. Our hospitalist
physicians work with your primary OB/GYN provider to give immediate care
and help make decisions about hospital admission or discharge.
