Hotel Accommodations

Covenant Health understands that hospital circumstances can occasionally require overnight stays for loved ones.

Find hotels in the surrounding area that offer discounts to families of patients.

Covenant visiting hours are 8 a.m. - 7 p.m. daily.

Some units have special limitations to ensure the safety and comfort of patients and staff. Contact the hospital department for current visiting hours.

  • No more than four visitors are permitted in a patient room at a time to ensure better rest for the patient.
  • All visitors must be free of any signs and symptoms, such as coughing, which might indicate a contagious disease.
  • Patients in the intensive care unit (ICU) and those with conditions that increase their risk of infection may not receive live flowers or plants.
  • All visitors are asked to clean their hands when entering a patient's room.
  • Visitors may be asked to leave by nursing personnel if special procedures are to be performed or if a life-threatening situation occurs.
  • Visitors must be at least 16 years of age. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by, and remain under the direct supervision of, a parent or guardian in order to be admitted as a visitor.
  • Children younger than age 6 will not be admitted as visitors unless their parent or guardian has completed the screening for infectious disease form, which is located at the front desk.
  • Children are allowed to visit, according to the following visitation guidelines, if they are accompanied by an adult and are properly supervised.
    • Children's visits should be limited to 15 minutes.
    • Children that are ill should not visit patients.
    • Upon receipt of a report of inappropriate behavior, the supervising adult may be directed to escort the child and/or children to the main lobby. If inappropriate behavior continues in the main lobby, the supervising adult may be asked to remove the child/children from the building by security personnel. Note: Inappropriate behavior may include, but not be limited to: screaming, yelling, running, jumping, interfering with other visitors, abuse of hospital property, verbal/physical abuse of staff, and remaining in the unit when ill.
    • The child and/or children requested to be removed from a unit for inappropriate behavior should not be permitted to return to the patient care areas for the remainder of the calendar day.
  • Visitors that obstruct the flow of traffic, cause damage to the environment of care, or whose behavior is disruptive to other patients or the performance of nursing duties should be asked to leave the area. Security may be called to assist in traffic control.
  • Nursing personnel are authorized to control visitation if the number of visitors become detrimental to the patient or unit.
  • Waiting areas are provided for family and friends of the hospitalized patient.
